Obituary of Cheryle Siminiuk

CHERYLE SIMINIUK It is with great sadness that the family of Cheryle Siminiuk announces she passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Cheryle was born Down syndrome, ill at birth, and health issues continued to be part of her life. Ostracized from the public at school age, Cheryle was deprived of an education, due to being Downs. She was raised in Dahinda, SK on the farm with her parents. After the passing of her mother, Cheryle relocated to Regina in 1999 to live with her sister Arlene and brother-in-law Ernie, and was accepted into Cosmopolitan Learning Centre. In 2009, Cheryle received a ten year service award. She had many hobbies, coloring in her books with her ink and crayons?, sorting out her ball game cards, playing cards and listening to Charley Pride and Paul Brandt. Cheryle had the opportunity to meet her favorite country musicians Paul Brandt and Charley Pride Twice!? Cheryles health status changed and declined in 2009. From 5A at the Regina General Hospital, Cheryle was placed into long term care at Sunset Extendicare. It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye. How wonderful life was while you were in the world. Cheryle is loved by all. With sincere gratitude the family wishes to thank the staff at Sunset Extendicare; Cosmopolitan Learning Centre; as well as the physicians, specialists and EMS teams.
