Obituary of Robert Vallis

VALLIS - Bob Vallis, October 21, 1938 - September 10, 2006. Predeceased by his parents, Albert and Katie Vallis; one sister Pearl Kimmerley; Bob leaves to mourn, his loving wife and soul-mate, Eunice; two sons, Rod and Jeff (Loretta); grandson Perris Neuman, all of Regina; two brothers, George (Vicky) of Burnaby BC, and Bill (Margaret) of New Brunswick; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. Bob worked as a Structural Estimator and Draftsman all of his life, and was the senior Estimator at Westridge Construction until December 2004, when he became ill. He loved his work as an Estimator, and took great pride in each job. Bob loved yard work and carpentry. People who knew him well, called his yard "Bobs Park. Bob loved his family and they in turn adored him - he was always there for you when you needed him. His two sons, Rod and Jeff will miss him dearly. When a family project came up, they would do it together, and Bob always showed them how it should be done! Bob struggled with cancer for almost two years, until his passing. Memorial Service will be held Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina SK S4P 2R3 would be appreciated by the family, and those touched by the disease.
