Obituary of Edwin Hamlin Cawsey

Cawsey - Edwin H. (Bud), born September 13th, 1916 in Regina, Sk. Passed away on September 16, 2006 after a lengthy illness. Bud was predeceased by his parents Frank and Eva Cawsey, brothers Bill, Lew, Bob and sister Jean Lloyd. He will be lovingly remembered by sisters Helen Goodmurphy, Kathleen (Roy) Graham, Betty (Ron) Waddell and sisters-in-law Lillas Cawsey and Muriel Cawsey, and many nieces and nephews. Bud proudly lived his life with a sense of duty to those friends and family for whom he cared deeply. Bud served as a pilot with the Pathfinder Force in the R.A.F. during World War Two; having beaten the odds, his war experience profoundly changed him. When the war ended, Bud left a military career for family responsibilities of an aging father and to his brother Bill who suffered from M.D. Always the bachelor, Bud looked for purpose to his life; through his ninety years his righteous dedication was to family and friends. His zest for life was also reflected through success in business and as an accomplished Bridge player. Over the last two years, Bud was in and out of hospital in both Moosomin and Regina with a series of illnesses. Bud was appreciative of the doctors and nurses who cared for him during this time. Most of all, his quality of life was enhanced through the care he received at the William Albert House in Emerald Park. The family wishes to thank the care-givers and nurses who lovingly tended to his needs during this time. A memorial reception will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday September 19th, at the William Albert House, 333 Emerald Park Rd., Emerald Park, Sask. for those able to attend.
