Obituary of Rita Susan Miller

Rita Susan Miller (nee Thomas) April 21, 1952 - September 16, 2006 On Saturday, September 16, 2006 with family by her side, Rita passed away at the William Booth Grace Hospice after a lengthy journey with cancer. Rita was born in LaFleche, SK and grew up on a farm near Meyronne until she later made her home in Regina. She was predeceased by her father, John. Leaving to cherish her memory are her mother Theresa; husband of thirty-two years, Sheldon; children, Wendy (Dean), Shane (Nova), Michelle (Daryl) and Michael; grandchildren, Tristan, Bryant, Rhett and Chloe. She is also survived by her sisters, Eva (Dennis), Marie (Barry), Marion and her brother Henry (Jackie); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. The family would like to express their thanks to: Wolfgang Hentschel, Melody Jones, Ross Larden, Leona and staff of Palliative Care, and all the family and friends who have been there to support us during this difficult time. Thank you also to the staff at the William Booth Grace Hospice for your wonderful care and support during her short stay. A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2006 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 2:00 p.m., both at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ritas memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.
