Obituary of Eleanor Elizabeth Wightman

WIGHTMAN, Eleanor Elizabeth (Barton) passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2006 at William Booth Special Care Home at the age of 92 years. Eleanor was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Margaret Barton; husband, Gordon; sister, Margaret Lees; and brother Dean. She is lovingly remembered and survived by sister-in-law Phyllis Barton; nieces, nephew and their children, and many good friends. In World War II Eleanor was a nursing sister (RN) with the Canadian Army in Europe and South Africa. She and Gordon met at this time and later married in Vancouver in 1951. They lived in British Columbia, Quebec and eventually settled in Regina where she continued her nursing career. At Eleanors request there will be no funeral service.
