Obituary of Helen Elizabeth Younghusband

HELEN ELIZABETH YOUNGHUSBAND (nee Foster) Helen passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the age of 82. She was born October 10, 1930 on Copford Farm, Pense district, the second child to Jack and Clara (nee Nichols) Foster. Helen was predeceased by her husband Blair Younghusband; her parents Jack and Clara Foster; her brother Frank Foster; Blairs children Sharon Younghusband and Daniel Younghusband. She is survived by her Daughter Christine Sali (nee Middleton) and family, Jeff (Robyn) Sali, Isaac, Charlie and Alex; Kevin Sali, Liam; Janine Cavan (Damon); her Son Bill (Carmelle) Middleton, Brenna Middleton; stepchildren Jason (Tracy) Lemieux and family; Eric (Brittany) Lemieux and family; Blairs children Dave (Marilyn) Younghusband and family; Christine Younghusband (Walter) and family; Siblings Alice (John) Ronning and family; Ede (Ted) Stawarz and family; Julie Foster and family; Tom (Norma) Foster and family; as well as many cousins and friends. Growing up on the farm shaped who Helen would be the rest of her life. Helen went to the Coulee School, then went to Balfour Tech to take dressmaking and become a meticulous seamstress. Her love of animals of all descriptions especially dogs and horses were only second to her love of life. She became a salesperson for the Hudsons Bay for many years selling fabric, furniture and clothing. To relax, she loved to garden, listen to music, dance and spend time with family. Helen volunteered extensively, was Past Chair of the Council of Westminster United and an Elder. She married Clifford Middleton October 2, 1948. They had two children Christine and Bill. They travelled with Construction, Mom was the cook. In 1959 they moved to Regina when Mom started her work life at the Co-Op Department store. They divorced and Helen married Blair Younghusband. They were both salespeople and enjoyed their lives together. Memorial Service will be held at Westminster United Church, 3025 - 13th Avenue, Regina, SK on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memoriam may be made to the Legacy Fund of Westminster United Church, 3025 13th Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 4P1 or the Pense Anglican Church Cemetery Fund c/o Joanne Simpson, General Delivery, Pense, SK, S0G 3W0.
