Obituary of Eileen May Banville

BANVILLE, Eileen May: Eileen passed away peacefully on September 27, 2006 in Regina, Saskatchewan. She was born May 9, 1919 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to William and Isabelle Keenan who preceded her in death. Eileen married her husband Albert F. on Canada Day, July 1, 1944 in Winnipeg and spent the next 30 years as a military wife establishing homes in Canada, the United States and Europe. She loved the life as a Canadian officer's wife and the adventures the family shared with extensive traveling. They retired to Colorado Springs, USA in 1979 and enjoyed their life there until 2000 when they returned to Canada due to her ill health. Eileen is survived by her loving husband, Albert, her two daughters, Leslie Bent (Brad) of Colorado Springs and Moira Lucas (George) of Regina SK, her beloved grandchildren, Erin Louden (Greg) and Eric Tammen of Colorado Springs, and Craig Lucas, Tokyo, Japan, sisters Mildred Joel, Toronto, and Alma Keenan, Vancouver. She was preceded in death by her brother Burr Keenan and sisters Gerry Argue and Wilma Stewart. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home for the outstanding care provided. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, October 2, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home, 4215 Regina Avenue, Regina with Rev. Ken Koep presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in memoriam, to Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home, 4215 Regina Avenue, Regina S4S 0J5.
