Obituary of Rose Bertha Woynarski

WOYNARSKI, ROSE BERTHA Rose passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, October 1, 2006 at the Regina General Hospital, at the age of 89. She was born to Frank and Anatasia Yaskowich on August 20, 1917 in the Halicz District, of the Wishart area. Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Charlie (Lori) of Kelowna, Gerard (Erna) of Regina, Jerome (Lynne) of Toronto and Mary-Ann (Greg Dionne) of Regina; grandchildren, Cathy (Randy Andrade), Greg (Sharon), Alicia, Adam, Evan, Crystal, Cheryl and Noah; great-grandsons, Cameron and Jack; and her sister, Angella (John Lasuita) of Regina; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Peter, parents Frank and Anastasia, and her siblings Kate, Joe, Walter, Kaz, Felix and Clem. Rose will be remembered by her family and friends for her unconditional love, strong faith, generous heart and hospitality. She truly loved serving others through her cooking and baking, warmly welcoming anyone who came to visit. The family is grateful for the gentle and compassionate care given to Rose by the nurses and doctors during her stay at the Regina General Hospital. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at Holy Cross R. C. Church, 315 Douglas Avenue E., Regina. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 6, 2006 at St. Marys R. C. Church, Wynyard with Rev. Norm Marcotte presiding. Interment in Wynyard Roman Catholic Cemetery.
