Obituary of Seraphine Desjarlais

DESJARLAIS (nee Lavallee) - On Wednesday, October 4, 2006, Seraphine Desjarlais, late of Regina, (Cowesses First Nation), passed away at the age of 95 years. Predeceased by her parents Napoleon and Louise Ann Lavallee; four brothers Victor, Andrew, Eric and Lawrence Lavallee; three sisters Myrtle Delorme, Terese Lavallee and Vitaline Mentuck; her husband Roger; two sons Fredrick and Vern; one daughter Carolina. Seraphine is survived by her daughters Jeanne Pelletier of Regina, Lucille Benio of Bonnyville, AB, and Judith Bergen of Regina; two brothers Alphonse Lavallee of Dauphin, MB and John Francis Lavallee of Saskatoon; one sister Beatrice Lafromboise of Regina; twenty-six grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren; and seventeen great-great-grandchildren. A wake will be held on Monday, October 9th at 7:00 p.m. at The Regina Metis Sport and Youth Culture Centre, 1235 - 2nd Avenue North, Regina. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, Sister Mel Hruska presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
