DESJARLAIS (nee Lavallee) - On Wednesday, October 4, 2006, Seraphine Desjarlais, late of Regina, (Cowesses First Nation), passed away at the age of 95 years. Predeceased by her parents Napoleon and Louise Ann Lavallee; four brothers Victor, Andrew, Eric and Lawrence Lavallee; three sisters Myrtle Delorme, Terese Lavallee and Vitaline Mentuck; her husband Roger; two sons Fredrick and Vern; one daughter Carolina. Seraphine is survived by her daughters Jeanne Pelletier of Regina, Lucille Benio of Bonnyville, AB, and Judith Bergen of Regina; two brothers Alphonse Lavallee of Dauphin, MB and John Francis Lavallee of Saskatoon; one sister Beatrice Lafromboise of Regina; twenty-six grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren; and seventeen great-great-grandchildren. A wake will be held on Monday, October 9th at 7:00 p.m. at The Regina Metis Sport and Youth Culture Centre, 1235 - 2nd Avenue North, Regina. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, Sister Mel Hruska presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 2360 - 2nd Avenue, Regina S4R 1A6.
