Obituary of Paolo Altieri

Paul Altieri May 19, 1915 - October 7, 2006 Loving husband, father and grandfather who passed away at the age of 91 years. While our hearts are filled with sadness, we are grateful for having been a prominent part of his long full life. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lidia, son Dino, daughter-in-law, Tracey, grandsons, Anthony and Matthew, brother Joe (Giuseppe), his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews in Regina, Ontario and the United States. Paul was born in Faeto, Italy in 1915. He immigrated to Saskatchewan and settled in Regina in 1954. One year later he married Lidia, who joined him from Faeto. Paul worked in the Citys construction industry. In 1982, he retired from Con-Force (Genstar) Products. Paul enjoyed his retirement gardening, renovating his home, taking long leisurely walks and cooking. He looked forward to his visits from Anthony and Matthew with great joy, lavishing them with love, attention and all the goodies they could ask for. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Cathedral, 3125 13th Avenue, with Rev. Brian Meredith presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation to a charity of their choice.
