Obituary of Marvin Roy Theodore Webb

MARVIN WEBB JANUARY 20, 1924 - OCTOBER 8, 2006 It is with deep love and affection that the family sadly announce the passing of Marvin Webb. Predeceased by his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Jeanette Webb (Dinu). Celebrating his life are his loving son Stanley G. Webb; his daughter Barbara Anne Moats (Glenn); grandchildren Erin, Amy, David, Janna Moats. During his 82 years Marvin lived a long and varied life. He played for the Moose Jaw Canucks, served with the 3rd Royal Artillery in Europe for four years, became a sailor for the Merchant Marine, came back to Saskatchewan where he worked for the Robin Hood Flour Mill. Here he met his wife to be. They traveled to Regina where he started a new career as a salesman with The T. Eaton Company for many years. During his retirement he spent his time enjoying his family, his hockey and movies. Even after suffering many strokes, Marvin always had time to enjoy his many friends at the Cornwall Centre Mall. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2006 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. A Celebration of Marvins life will be held on Friday, October 13, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Marys Anglican Church, 3337 - 15th Avenue, Regina with Rev. Claude Schroeder officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in memoriam, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 2360 - 2nd Avenue, Regina S4R 1A6.
