Obituary of Arletta Irene Tomlinson

TOMLINSON - ARLETTA IRENE (Tommy) passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 79 years, on October 12, 2006 at the Wascana Grace Hospice. Arletta was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, nurse and caregiver. Arletta was predeceased by her first husband, Roy Tomlinson; and second husband Ken Slater; and her parents, Edna and Francis Brooks. Arletta will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her five daughters and their families: Myrna (Paul) Schuck of Airdrie, AB, Denise (Noah), Chad (Sandy), Owen; Brenda (John) Rogers of Calgary, AB, Michael (Jackie), James; Karen (Larry) Dubord of Regina, Danielle, Oren, Krista (Chad), Ryan (Erin); Lori (Bruce) Lipinski of Regina, Joel, Linsey; Kellie (Hal) Sanders of Regina, Dana, Megan, Jennelle. Stepchildren and their families: Albert (Gaylene Peterson) Slater of Seattle, WA, Goldan, Karlen; Mary Ann (Darwin) Eckstrom of Grande Prairie, AB, Brendon, Kellan, Donavon; Rick (Debbie) Slater of Grande Prairie, AB, Daryl, Jeff, Sara; Carolyn (Bob) McCreight of Grande Prairie, AB, William, Colin. Sisters Marion (George) Pinch, Donna (Robert - deceased) Simons, numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Clein and staff at Palliative Care, and Wascana Grace Hospice. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, October 15, 2006 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, October 16th at 7:00 p.m. in Resurrection Roman Catholic Church, 3155 Windsor Park Road, Regina, SK with Rev. Stephen Bill presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
