Obituary of Ronald Paul Deglau

DEGLAU - It is with great sadness that we mourn the accidental death of Ronny Deglau, on October 23, 2006. Predeceased by his father Kurt Deglau on June 25, 2003. Ronny is survived by his daughter Jennifer Deglau; his mother, Johanna (Honey) Deglau; brothers Rob Deglau and his fiance Beverly Pletz; Jim Deglau of Edmonton; sister Carla Hansen (nee Deglau) and her husband Jan and their two children Viggo and Erik Hansen of Calgary. Ronny was born on September 8, 1960 in Esterhazy Saskatchewan. Moving to Regina at a young age, he attended Lorne and Albert Elementary Schools and graduated from Scott Collegiate. Ronny began his employment with the City of Regina, where he spent the next 24 years working in the Roadways Department until he retired in January 2006 to chase rainbows. Ronny had little use for material possessions, yet he was a wealthy man for the hundreds of people who called him a friend. To know him, and his humour, made us all feel like we had been blessed. His laugh was infectious and came with a gregarious sense of humour. He was generous to a fault and was a kind and compassionate man. Ronny was not one to think of the future and what lies ahead - he lived only for the moment. Ronny was a good friend to many, an acquaintance to many more and someone not easily forgotten. Please join us in a celebration of Ronnys life at 1:30 p.m. on October 31, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1909 Ottawa Street, Regina. Flowers gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations to an Education Trust Fund for Jennifer at any branch of Conexus Credit Union. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
