JUNE MARGARET MacINTOSH (Nee Whitmore) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of June MacIntosh. June was born on October 26, 1922 in Lumsden, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully on Monday, October 24, 2006 in Regina. The daughter of William and Christina Whitmore, she spent her childhood in Lumsden with her family enjoying small town life. June resided in Regina, where she raised her family and enjoyed socializing with her many friends. She was an avid Rider fan, golfer and curler. She was an active member of Lakeview United Church and supported the arts in Regina. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. June always had a smile on her face and a warm word of encouragement for anyone she spoke with. Her sunny disposition and kindness will be missed by all who knew her. June was predeceased by her husband, Dr. James MacIntosh; her brother Wallace (Wally) Whitmore; and her sisters Blanche Moxham and Geraldine Ransom. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth and son-in-law Roydon Steinke of Fresno, CA.; her son Ian MacIntosh and his girlfriend Jayne Richardson of Regina; her grandchildren Johann Steinke, Paul (Heidi) Steinke, Laura (Shane) Lux and Kate Steinke of California; her brother Lorne Whitmore; sister Doris Whitmore; her sisters-in-law Adena Pettigrew and Mary MacIntosh; as well as many nieces, nephews and family friends, whom she loved. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue with Greg Parker officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
