Obituary of Marie Kathleen Badley

MARIE KATHLEEN BADLEY December 9, 1925 October 20, 2012 Marie Badley passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 20, 2012, in her 86th year. She was predeceased by her husband, Ken Badley; parents Esther and William Alefounder; and by siblings, Vernon Alefounder, Pat Gateman and Bill Alefounder. Marie is fondly remembered by her niece Dawn (Ken Hand) Gateman; nephew Rick (Donna) Gateman; and niece Heather (Walt) Curilla. Marie is also dearly missed by her sister-in-law Lillian Alefounder, and by a host of life-long friends. She was born in Grand Coulee, SK and was a proud, life-long resident of Regina. Marie enjoyed a 35 year career at SaskPower and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for more than 50 years. An accomplished singer in her early years, Marie was especially proud of her extensive record and tape collection. She was also a dedicated amateur photographer, with each snap of the shutter punctuated by her enthusiastic good-o.?
