Obituary of Rosa Margaret Morgan

MORGAN - Rosa Morgan passed away at the Country Lane Care Home, Pilot Butte, SK on Tuesday, October 31, 2006. Rosa was born at the Regina General Hospital on June 16, 1916, the only daughter of Edwin and Betty Lorimer. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth in 1967; her mother in 1920; her father in 1950; and by her brothers Edwin, Rowland and Donald. Rosa is survived by her brother Dr. Wesley Lorimer of Coquitlam, BC; her son David (Linda) of Regina; her daughter Elaine (John) Rusling of Didsbury, AB; grandsons Steven Rusling of Prague, Czech Republic and Gregory Rusling of Calgary, AB; two step-granddaughters Corinna (Brad) Thompson of Bredenbury, SK and their children Lindsay, Brayden, Tayler and Sean Lynne; Kelly (Tom) Shumlich of Calgary, AB and their children Riley Paterson, Thomas and Marcus Shumlich. Rosa is also survived by her sister-in-law Marge Lorimer of Victoria B.C.; brothers- in-law Edwin (Tillie) Morgan of Regina and Rev. David (Una) Cline of Richmond BC; as well as numerous nephews, nieces and a host of friends. Rosa and Ken Morgan were married at St. Pauls Cathedral, Regina on August 9, 1942 and lived in Colonsay until 1947. They and their children lived in Yorkton, Star City, Prince Albert and Regina. Rosas family wishes to acknowledge and thank the staff of Country Lane Care Home, Pilot Butte, SK for the wonderful care their mother received until her death. Funeral Service for the late Rosa Morgan will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, 142 Massey Road, Regina on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Canon William Portman officiating. In lieu of flowers, Rosas family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Christian Childrens Fund of Canada, 1200 Denison Street, Markham, Ontario L3R 8G6.
