Obituary of Mary Zizzy

ZIZZY - Mary Zizzy (nee Prebushewski), born May 18, 1914 in Meachum, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully at Parkside Extendicare, Regina, Saskatchewan, on Monday, November 13, 2006 with family at her side. Mary is predeceased by parents Nick Prebushewski and Anne Dupchuk; stepmother Polly Paranka; husband Alex; brothers Nick, Tony, Walter, Henry, Steve, Adel, and Joe; sisters Rose and Pauline; and granddaughter Tesalyn. She is survived by her children Gene, Don (Agnes) and Bev (Stan Mustatia); grandchildren Janelle (Jamie Goddard), Monique, Alexia, and Tanner; great-grandchildren Shea and Leigh; brother Victor; sisters Olga, Frances, and Lillian; as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Mary will be sadly missed by her loving family. Mary was a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend. She was a talented homemaker and avid gardener who enjoyed playing cards, bowling, bingo, and of course, dancing, singing and making music. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her passion for music and her zest for living. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2006 from 7:00 - 8 :00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina with Mary Sutton officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
