Obituary of John Cornelius Massel

MASSEL, John Cornelius, late of Regina, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by his parents, Roy and Florence Massel; wife Dorothy (nee Laskey); grandson Michael Phillips; and sister Gwen Milligan; John is survived by his son Dennis (Joan) Massel of Regina; grandsons, Dan (Calla) Massel of Regina, Ryan Massel of Calgary; sister June Guspie of Toronto; nieces and nephews; daughter Shirley Terry of Regina. At Johns request no funeral service will be held. Cremation with private burial at a later date. John served in the Royal Canadian Air Force, overseas in the 2nd World War, and returned to Toronto where he married Dorothy Laskey. They returned to Saskatchewan where John spent two years in Fort San prior to beginning work at the Provincial Correctional Centre as a purchaser, where he worked until retirement.
