Obituary of Gordon Dickinson

DICKINSON - Sunday, November 19, 2006, Gordon Dickinson, late of Regina, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 years. Born October 12, 1922 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Gordon was predeceased by his parents Percy Dickinson and Hannah Morgan Crabtree; his wife of fifty-nine years, Mary Dickinson (Snyder) in 2004; daughter Jean Anne Dickinson in 2003; brothers, Jack and Jim Dickinson. Gordon is survived by his sons: Mike (Veronica) of Lac La Biche; Tim (Valerie) and children, Daniel, Matthew, Alex and Caitlin of Edmonton; daughters: Joan Bailey and children, Samantha and Theo of Woking, AB; Cathy Graham (Jack Warner) of Whitewood and her children, Kirsten (Ryan) Gerahty and Cameron Graham in Australia; sister Doreen (Don) Wood of Medicine Hat; numerous nieces and nephews. Gordon was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus with over twenty-five years of service, a strong supporter of the Orange Benevolent Society and the Credit Unions of Saskatchewan. He spent over forty years in the printing business in Regina. Special thank you to the staff at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre of 3-6 Veterans Ward, for their kind and loving care for eight years. Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 23, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre Chapel, 2180-23rd Avenue, Regina, with Chaplain Karen Ziegler officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined.
