Obituary of Frederick James Bailey

BAILEY, FREDERICK JAMES passed away peacefully in his sleep early Wednesday morning, November 22, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rose; two daughters and their husbands, Bonita and Doug Gollan of Vancouver, Midge and Byron Lopes of Pasqua Lake; five grandsons and their wives; seven great-grandchildren. Remembering him are his devoted goddaughter Bonnie Jean Morrisson and her family. Saddened are his deceased brother Frank Baileys wife, Jean of Baltimore and their family; his sister Doreen and husband Paul Webster of Charlston Lake, ON. Fred was a brave and honorable man. He served his country overseas during World War II, returning to Canada he was discharged from the Army and then joined the Regina Fire Department. He worked for 35 years and retired in 1980 as Deputy Fire Chief. Fred and Rose enjoyed their retirement years traveling to far away places. Their favorite spot was vacationing many winters in beautiful Hawaii. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Happy thoughts of our time together Memories that will last forever.
