Obituary of Alma Niklas

NIKLAS - Alma (nee Doehl), born October 15, 1907, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2006 at the age of 99 years. Alma emigrated to Canada in 1912 and settled in the Southey District where she resided except for approximately two years. She resided in the U.S.A. in the late 1920s and for two years she resided in the "Shalom Home in Cupar. Alma is predeceased by her parents, Ludwig and Pauline Doehl; husband, Carl Lamers; husband, Ferdinand "Fred Niklas; sons, Harvard Lamers, Gerald Niklas; daughters-in-law, Jeanette and Dorothy Lamers; siblings, Lily (Martin) Gellner, Irma (Alex) Weber, Oscar, Hugo and Robert (Edith) Doehl. She is survived by her son, Ralph (Shirley) Lamers; daughter, Vivian (William) Van Blaricom; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and sister-in-law Lottie Doehl. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 265 Highway 6, Southey with Rev. Lowell Dennis officiating. Interment at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Southey, SK. Thank you from the family to the staff at "Shalom Care Home.
