Obituary of Elmer Byron Kutzley

KUTZLEY - It is with great sadness that the family of Elmer Byron Kutzley announces the passing of a loving father, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather on Saturday, December 2, 2006. Elmer was predeceased by his loving wife Theresa in September 2002; his parents Rudolph (1968) and Ethel (1972); his brother Clair and his sisters, Dora and Hazel. Elmer will be deeply missed by his son Bernie (Mary Ellen) Kutzley; daughter Cheryl Hinck and children, Michael, Kristina (Kevin), Garrett (Sarah) and Shayna, and great grandson Austin; daughter Kathy (Alan) Hansen and their children, Chris (Tanya) and Ally (Ben); daughter Colleen (Martin) Hovind; sisters, Margaret (Harry) Culley, Evelyn (Gordon) Herman and Darlene MacKenzie; brother-in-law Stan Ohrn; Aunt Dolly Lekivetz; and numerous nieces and nephews. Heartfelt thanks to Dads special family at Dove House for their unconditional love, care and compassion over the past four years, particularly this past week. Elmer was born on his parents farm near Milestone, Saskatchewan on March 1, 1925. He moved to Regina at the age of 15 and began a career with the Canadian Pacific Railway that spanned forty-five years. He served in the Second World War as a Private in the South Saskatchewan Rifles Regiment. A private family service will be held. Interment in the Soldiers Plot - Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined. Friends and family so wishing may make donations, in Elmers memory, to Dove House, 2220 Cameron Street, Regina, SK S4T 2V8.
