Obituary of Eleanor Louise Boulton

BOULTON - Eleanor Louise Boulton (nee Ewing), late of Regina, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at the age of 92 years. Predeceased by her husband Stanley Edward Boulton in 1988; daughter Ronalee Ann Robertson in 1996; parents The Rev. William Phoenix Ewing and Lydia Ethel Lorraine (nee Connolly); sister Lorraine (Jack) Moore; brothers Ted (Rita) Ewing, Norman (Marge) Ewing and Ken (Marion) Ewing. Eleanor is survived by two sons Gordon Ross (Linda) and Bruce Edward (Sonja); grandchildren Jeff Boulton (Shelly), Adrienne Boulton-Funke (Geoff), Karen Robins (Chris), Grant Boulton (Apollonia), Allyson Sawyer (Jim), Ryan Robertson (Selina); great-grandchildren: Jay Boulton, Jordon Boulton, Quinn Funke, Nate Funke, Andrew Robins, Justin Robins, RJ Tupy, Micaela Sawyer, Fulton Sawyer, Barley-Ann Bowman; and numerous nieces, nephews and their children. Eleanor was born in Mission, British Columbia. Throughout her childhood the family moved frequently due to the nature of her fathers work as a United Church minister. Watrous, Saskatchewan was one of her favorite places and was where she graduated from grade twelve. Subsequently, she trained and graduated as a nurse in Prince Albert. Eleanor married Stan in April, 1940. Together with three children the family eventually moved to Regina in 1957. With the exception of a few years, Regina has remained her home. Church has always been important to Mom and as such, has been a long time member of the Broadway United Church and member of the Regina Chapter #7, Order of Eastern Star. Memorial Service will be held Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Avenue, Regina, with The Rev. Jim Balfour officiating. Interment will take place in the Riverside Memorial Park, Regina, Saskatchewan. Flowers are most gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Broadway United Church Memorial Fund, 105 Broadway Avenue, Regina S4N 1B2, the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina S4P 2R3 or a charity of their choice. Appreciation is extended to the staff of QuAppelle House, Sunset Extendicare and The Regina Lutheran Home for their kindness and exceptional care.
