Obituary of Keith Edmund Gibson

KEITH EDMUND GIBSON Keith passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the age of 81 years. He was predeceased by his parents Alvin and Muriel Gibson. Keith is lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Agnes; daughter Shelley Ann Gibson; son Cameron (Brenda) Gibson and their children Nathan and Brandon; and daughter Pattie Lee Gibson. Keith was born on the family farm south of Kendal, Saskatchewan on July 26, 1931. Keith and Agnes farmed the Gibson Family Farm (established in 1908) until 2004 when Cameron and Brenda took over the farm. He continued to help out at seeding and harvest until 2011. In addition to farming, Keith also had many other occupations over the years with Sears, Saskatchewan Crop Insurance, and driving school bus. He was a self-taught carpenter and built kitchen cabinets for family and friends and refinished antique furniture. Keith loved people and truly enjoyed life. Favorite pastimes included old-time dancing, going to curling events across the country, travelling, and visiting with family and friends. Above all else, Keith loved his family and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them. A Celebration of Keiths Life will be held at Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Jim Balfour officiating. Interment in Regina Memorial Gardens.
