Obituary of Jessie Bryson Bailey

BAILEY- Jessie Bryson Bailey, nee Macaulay, passed away on December 13, 2006 in Regina surrounded by her family. Born in Malaya and educated in England as a physician, Jessie and her husband Jack immigrated to Canada in 1952. She was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Thomas and Eleanor Macaulay, husband Jack (1981), and brothers Sandy (1997) and George Macaulay (1995). Jessie is survived by her three sons: Peter (Sue), Neil (Michele) and Ian and four grandchildren; Guillaume, Simon, Raphaele and Julia. Jessie was active in the community life of Regina. Her major involvements included: Saint Mary's Anglican Church, the Alter Guild and Qu'appelle House; The Royal Society of Saint George, Regina Branch; The Monarchist League of Canada, South Saskatchewan Branch; The Canadian Federation of University Women and Nature Regina. She also enjoyed many of the cultural events Regina had to offer. Jessie's family are profoundly grateful for the superb care she received from all the members of the health care teams at the Alan Blair Cancer Center, the Pasqua Hospital. and the William Booth Hospice. Drs. Kuzmicz and Rayson were particularly attentive and kind. A funeral service will be held at St Mary's Anglican Church on December 18 at 1 pm with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your own choice.
