Obituary of Evelyn Hilda Dehm

Evelyn Hilda Dehm (Hancock) April 10, 1915 - Dec. 18, 2006 It is with great sadness and relief that we said good-bye to Ev on Monday - sadness that we will no longer have her presence with us in life, but relief that she is now at peace. Born in Cornwall, England, she lived most of her life in Saskatchewan. She married "Ernie Dehm in Regina, December 23, 1942 and together had three children, Hazel, Fred and Barry. Evs pleasures were her family, friends, teaching, walking, painting, playing the piano and being an active member of the UCW. She was predeceased by her parents Sidney and Annie Hancock; her brother Fred; her husband Ernie; and this year, her son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Linda. She will live on in the memories of her children Hazel Zaharik (Bernie) and Barry Dehm (Chris), all her grandchildren: Marie Rieger (Duane), Michelle Zaharik (Eduard Venczel), Scott Dehm (Marlene), Karen Davidson (Andy), Nicole Dehm and Jonathon Dehm; as well as seven great-grandchildren. We wish to thank the staff at Erimus Personal Care Home for their patient care and kindness. Family and friends are invited to the funeral service at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue on Friday, December 22, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. followed by coffee at the Speers Family Centre, 2330 Cornwall Street. A Graveside inurnment will be held later. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeview United Church UCW, 3200 McCallum Avenue, Regina S4S 0R9.
