Obituary of Mai King Ng

Ng - On December 31, 2006, Mai King Lee Ng passed away peacefully with her family at her side, at the Pasqua Hospital. Mai King was born in Canton, China on December 15, 1916. She is one of nine children. Mai King is predeceased by her husband, See Chung Ng, step-children: Mr. & Mrs. Sung Ping Ng, Mr. Chew Kong Ng, Mrs. Shau Yut Ng Mui and her husband, Mrs. Shau Kui Ng Chan and her husband. Mai King moved from China to Canada in 1969. She was always busy in the lives of her grandchildren and great- grandchildren and found time to maintain a large garden. Mai King is lovingly remembered by her daughter Marion (James), and their children Peter (Janet), George (Alison), Norman (Debbie), Sharon, Stan (Maria), David (Michele), John (April) and great- grandchildren, Christopher, Garrick, Donovan, Shelby, and Jade. Mai King is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren from her step-daughter Shau Kui Ng Chan. Mai King is also survived by three step-children, Polly Louie (nee Ng), Shirley, Tony (Gail) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the nurses of 4A at the Pasqua Hospital and to Drs. Lok and Shonken for the care they provided. Viewing for family and friends will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2007 at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Regina Chinese Alliance Church, 3010 Arens Road, Regina, SK. The service will be officiated by Reverend Gershom Ng. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East.
