Obituary of Art Lawrence Leibel

ARTS GONE FISHIN LEIBEL - Arthur Lawrence Leibel, born in Zehner, SK on December 10, 1921 to parents Fred and Matilda Leibel, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2007. The second youngest of 23, Art was a tall, lanky guy with good looks and great taste and so he married Tillie in 1948 and they went on to have four children - Brenda (Rick), Perry (Marlise), Lorne and Greg (Annette). Art grew up on the family farm, and eventually moved to Regina, where he worked, for most of his adult career, at Scott National. Predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters, but thankfully survived by his brother Leonard and his sister Anne. Grandpa Leibel will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Kelli, Neil, Paul, Jordan, Madison, Laurie-Anne, Craig and Bryn. Lottie, Olga, Nora and numerous nieces and nephews thankfully are all here to help us remember all the great stories. We choose to remember and cherish how much Art loved life fishing with Greg playing BOK with his family and friends (and always thinking he won) and all the jokes he would tell to his grandchildren. Our wish for you is to remember Art as no one else he was and will always be unique, and thats why we loved him. Best of all, he loved us more. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Interment in Regina Memorial Gardens. Flowers gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 2360 - 2nd Avenue, Regina S4R 1A6.
