Obituary of Thomas Alexander Castaneda

August 26, 1994 - January 5, 2007 CASTAEDA - It is with great sadness and sorrow that we mourn the sudden passing of our angel Thomas Alexander Castaeda, after a short and courageous battle with pneumonia. He was 12 years of age. Survived by his father Thomas Edward (Ted) Castaeda, mother Maria (nee Concepcion) Cowper, stepfather Darren Cowper, stepmother Leanne Wills-Castaeda siblings Zachary, Madison, Kailey, Dylan, grandmother Elvira Castaeda M.D., Lola Leona Concepcion, grandparents Jim and Darlene Cowper, Les and Lillian Wills, uncles Dave, Joe, and Doug, aunties, Consuelo, Bing, Chi and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his grandfathers Antonio Concepcion and Jose Castaeda M.D., and Uncle Ned Castaeda. He will be lovingly remembered for his beautiful cheerful smile, positive and happy attitude, his sense of humor, his love and empathy for others and courageous personality. We would like to express immense gratitude first to God for blessing our lives with such a wonderful boy, to Dr. Holmes and the staff at the Neonatal Unit and Pediatric Ward for their care and support throughout the 12 years of Thomass life. Thanks to the teachers and staff at Deshaye Catholic School for giving Thomas the care he needed. Special thanks to Linda Parovsky for her care at school of Thomas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 10, 2007 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. in Holy Child R. C. Church, 2636 - 7th Avenue East, Regina with Rev. Steven Bill, Celebrant and Rev. M. Hogan, Con-Celebrant.
