Obituary of Helen Marie Harper

HARPER, HELEN MARIE - passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at the age of 83 years. She was very saddened by the passing of her husband, Bruce on November 24, 2006; they had been married for 59 years. She is also predeceased by her daughter, Janis, brother George, and sisters Ona and Edna. She is lovingly remembered by her son-in-law Jim, Erin (Jason) and Amy; son David (Deb) Virginia and Holly; daughter Nancy (Eugene) Kelsey and Jason; and her sister Norma, brothers-in-law Len (Dee), Charlie and Keith (Bee); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Helen and Bruce had a cottage at Regina Beach for 26 years and were very happy to become permanent residents at retirement. Helen played golf, bridge and bingo when she could and enjoyed the company of the many friends she and Bruce had made through the years. Her lifelong cheerful attitude endeared her to all. Helen was so very proud of each of her grandchildren but also had a love for children no matter what their circumstances were and would often be heard saying "Bless their dear sweet hearts. She will be fondly remembered by many. A private memorial service will be held but friends are invited to a fellowship at the Regina Beach Memorial Hall on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Chronic Renal Insufficiency Program at the Regina General Hospital, 1440 - 14th Avenue, Regina S4P 0W5 or to a charity of choice.
