Obituary of Edna Irene Price

IRENE PRICE 1921 - 2007 Surrounded by the loving arms of her children and grandchildren, the family of Irene Price wish to announce her death on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at Regina General Hospital. Irene was born in Lakevalley, September 12, 1921. She and her husband Cecil raised their family in Caron. Irene moved to Moose Jaw in 1988 during Cecils illness and eventually went on to live with her daughter Heather in Regina. Irene had a zest for life and a profound love for her family and friends and that love was incredibly expressed by her in her final hours. As her children, we reflect on a mom who was always on the go belonging to every small town organization but always time to tend to her family. She endured Cecil and Marvins illness with great strength, never wanting to burden either family or friends with her troubles. This past year, after breaking both hips, she showed her courage and determination and strength. Despite a life with wheelchair, walker and oxygen she remained feisty and independent to the end. Irene was predeceased by her husband Cecil, son Marvin and very recently and tragically grandson Sean, as well as brothers Walter and Bob and sister Marg. She is survived by her children, daughters Heather, Delores and family, Michelle, Kristy and Shane and son Darrell and wife Cindy and children April (Chris), Amber, Troy and Kristen, sisters Jean, Joan, brothers Wendell (Phyllis), Raymond (Bernice), sister-in-law Bea and numerous nieces and nephews and her very special and beloved great-granddaughter Nevaeh, affectionately known as Nevi and the absolute light of her life. To her multitude of friends from every age group we wish you could have heard her express her undying love for you all. A celebration of Irenes life will take place at a later date after the arrival home of her granddaughter April and husband Chris from Korea.
