Obituary of Mary Marie Zaharia

Mary Marie Zaharia April 12, 1927 October 24, 2012 Mary Marie Zaharia (nee Danylko) passed away at Regina Wascana Grace Hospice on October 24, 2012 at age 85. She will be lovingly missed by her daughter Barbara Ann (Paul) Bednjak; grandchildren Tracy Fahlman (Steve Enns), Rhonda Bednjak (Jody Fleming-White), Paula Bednjak (Kevin Caroll) and Paul Jr. Bednjak (Sarah Ryan); great grandson Justus White; sisters Catherine Chesney, Emily (Dennis) Becker and Gloria Powell; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents Annie and Metro Danylko; husband Alexander; daughter Jeanette; son-in-law Raymond Steffan; sisters Nancy Cottel, Phyllis Dawson and Josephine Hubick; and brothers-in-law Bobby Chesney, Leigh Powell and Lorne Cottel. The eldest of seven sisters, Marys favorite pastime was crocheting, playing bingo and cards, and cheering for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. She deeply cared for her family; always ready to offer a helping hand or lend an ear over a soothing pot of tea or coffee. Her sparkling blue eyes and contagious giggle will be fondly remembered forever. A Celebration of Marys Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday October 30, 2012 at 1:00 pm.
