Obituary of Ruby Ann EACHUS

EACHUS - Ruby (Forsyth) passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the age of 97 years. She was born on March 1, 1909 on the family farm near Grand Coulee, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her parents Alex and Thurza Forsyth; husband Cecil in 1975; brother Lloyd "Barney; son Alex and daughter Evelyn. She is survived by her sister Shirley of Kenora, ON and brother Donald of Craik, SK, formerly of Aylesbury, SK. Ruby was educated at the Grand Coulee Village School, followed by teacher training at Regina Normal School. She taught for a brief time in rural Saskatchewan schools and several years in the Regina School System as a substitute teacher. Ruby was an ardent sports enthusiast, participating in curling and baseball, and a fan and spectator, with herself and her son and daughter, at many Saskatchewan Roughrider and Regina Ram football games. She also enjoyed playing cards and especially fond of bridge. She enjoyed gardening and believes that contributed to her good health and long life. Thanks to the staff on 2W at Regina Pioneer Village Nursing Home for their compassionate care of Ruby. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Wednesday January 31, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in the family plot in Riverside Memorial Park, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East.
