Obituary of Alex Zazulak

ALEX ZAZULAK On Wednesday, October 24, 2012, Alex Passed away peacefully at the age of 92 years. Alex was born Elie Zazuliak, on a homestead outside the village of Poplarfield, MB in 1920. The family moved to Regina when he was one year old. During WWII, Alex proudly served overseas in Europe as a Corporal in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. After the war, he worked for Intercontinental Packers Ltd. for over 30 years. Alex was predeceased by his wife Jeanne; parents Theodore and Eugenia; brothers William and John; and sisters Mary, Pauline, Nellie and Tillie. He is survived by his children Patti, Bev (Stew), Sharon and Ken; grandchildren Michael, Steven, Stephanie and Lauren; as well as his sister Victoria Peters. Requiem (Panachyda) will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Rite will be held at Descent of the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1305 12th Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Very Rev. Archpriest Slawomir Lomaszkiewicz presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Special thanks to the staff at Selo Gardens Personal Care Home and the Palliative Care Unit of the Pasqua Hospital for their care and dignity bestowed upon Alex.
