Obituary of Susan Hilary Templeton

TEMPLETON - Susan Templeton (nee VanAlstine) of Regina, much loved daughter, wife and mother, died February 8, 2007 at the Pasqua Hospital. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Trent; sons Andrew and Shane; parents James and Helen VanAlstine; brother Charles (Manjit); sisters-in-law Pam (Rob) McKay and Patricia (Mike) Weisgerber; brothers-in-law Scott (Caren) and Dwight (Lori); parents-in-law Shirley and Andy Templeton; nieces and nephews, Jessica, Tyler, Brodie, Braden, Keegan, Conlin, Alica, Katelyn, Ciana, Shaina; aunts, Carol, Norma, Bette, Joan and Esther; and many cousins. Susan was predeceased by her grandparents Fred and Janet Vance and Charles and Amy VanAlstine; aunt Barbara; sister-in-law Val; uncles Mel and Fred; and aunts Eleanor and Diana. Susan was a happy and loving person. Her family was her first and most important priority. Her sons were her greatest joy. She completed her B. Admin in Regina. While working at SaskTel she met Trent. Following the birth of her twin boys she elected to work part time to spend time with her boys. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the early age of 32. Susan and Trent strove to make the most of the time she was given and to do whatever they could to lengthen that time. She and her family enjoyed many trips and she especially enjoyed the times she shared with her family at the lake cottage. Susan carried herself with grace and dignity throughout her life. She shared herself with all who were privileged to know her. She was supported by her husband Trent in all her joys and sorrows and earned the love and respect of her family and friends. Her focus and desire was to live to watch her boys grow up. After 9 years she is finally at rest and is by Gods side. A very special thanks is extended to her close friends, church congregation, neighbors, doctors, nurses and healers she met along the way. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. in Sunset United Church, 177 Sunset Drive with Kathy Platt officiating.
