Obituary of Frances Ross Greff

GREFF - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frances Ross Greff, late of Regina, Sask. She passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 10, 2007, at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by her husband Charles, her parents John and Mary (nee Ross) McKay; mother and father-in-law Louis and Florence (nee Keough) Greff; by immediate family members, Mary (nee McKay) Schwindt, Douglas and Margaret McKay, Harold and Edith Greff, Edward Greff, Leonard and Gwen Greff, Robert Hannah and Helena (nee Greff) Wingert. Frances is survived by brother-in-law Lorne Schwindt; sisters-in-law Dorothy Hannah and Helen Greff; brothers-in-law Homer Greff and Andrew Wingert; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was born in Parry, Saskatchewan, December 14, 1924. She spent her childhood in several Saskatchewan towns as her father worked for the railroad. Frances married Charlie Greff on November 24, 1951. They lived in Lakeheath, Sask. where Charlie operated the elevator. Frances and her husband Charlie took over the general store in Parry in 1960. They retired in 1970 and moved to Regina. Frances loved to crochet, knit and read. Frances was a rock hound and garage sale enthusiast. She was an active volunteer with her husbands "Old Time Violin band. Frances was a devoted wife, a compassionate and caring individual, with a kind heart and many friends. A Celebration of Francess Life will be held at Christ the King R.C. Church, 3239 Garnet Street, Regina on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jose Periyilkatte presiding. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Francess memory, to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, Sask. S4P 2R3.
