Obituary of Arthur Lyle Gollnick

GOLLNICK - Arthur Lyle Gollnick passed away peacefully at the Veterans Wing of Wascana Rehabilitation Centre on Monday, February 12, 2007 at the age of 94 years. Predeceased by his parents Herman and Agnes Gollnick; brother Herman C. Gollnick; sisters Viola Moffat and Norma Gibson. Arthur is survived by a sister Dorothy White; nephews, Wayne Gibson of Saskatoon, Lyle Gollnick of Regina and Dr. Mark White of Fort QuAppelle; nieces, Patricia Gollnick of Regina and DArcy White of Salmon Arm, BC. Arthur enjoyed a distinguished military career being in the Reserves prior to World War II and going overseas in January 1940 with the Regina Rifle Regiment. He served in Holland and Germany and reached the rank of Major. Arthur was an ardent hunter of ducks, geese and upland birds. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. in Riverside Memorial Park, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina (meet inside the gate).
