Obituary of Henry Miller

MILLER - Henry Miller, born December 5, 1917, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2007, in Regina Lutheran Home, at the age of 89 years. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary, February 6, 1977; parents Jacob and Sophie Miller; brother Richard (Edith); sisters, Katherina Seib (Louis), Olga Lindemann (Emil), Edith Wagner (Jack), Mary Wagner (Jacob) and Frieda Siebert (Max), Henry is survived by his four sons, Lorne Sr. (Gail), Darrel (Diane), Lloyd (Emma) and Don (Judy); eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother Louie (Flora) Miller; numerous nieces and nephews. Henry was born in Winnipeg and in 1923 moved to the Earl Grey district with his family, where he farmed with his parents until his marriage in 1944. After several years of farming he moved his young family to Regina where he worked and raised his family. After his retirement at the age of 65, you could always find Henry in his shop, where he loved to pass the time doing his woodworking. His positive outlook on life found him many friends and loved his time spent with his family and socializing with his many friends. Henry will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Very special thanks go out to the staff of the Regina Lutheran Home and Ladies Auxiliary, who put all aside to care for the residents of the facility. There is, a very special place in heaven, meant for the people who care for the elderly in the manner in which they do. Memorial Service will be held Monday, February 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Regina Lutheran Home Chapel, 1925 5th Avenue North with Rev. Orville Kaminski officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Regina Lutheran Home, 1925 5th Avenue North, Regina, SK S4R 7W1.
