Obituary of Kathleen Joy Anthony

ANTHONY, Kathleen - It is with great sadness that the family of Kathleen Joy Anthony announce her passing on Monday, February 26, 2007 with her son at her side after a long, hard battle with cancer and end-stage renal failure. Kate is remembered by her loving son James (Miranda); mom, Maxine Anthony; sisters, Pam Woodsworth (Eric, Jordan and Julia) and Corinne Anthony (Doug, Andrew, Jessica, Kyle and Ryan) and brother Geoff Anthony (Sheila, David and Erin). She was predeceased by her dad, David Anthony. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church, 3717 Hill Avenue, Regina, with Mr. Gary Field officiating. The family wishes to thank all of Kates nurses and doctors who helped and cared for her as well as the wonderful, caring staff at the Palliative Care Unit, Ward 3A at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina. The family would also like to thank the wonderful congregation of Grace Presbyterian for all of their love and support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada, 401 St. Clair Street, Point Edward, ON N7V 9Z9 or to the Regina Palliative Care Inc., 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 1A5, in Kates memory.
