Predeceased by her parents Cecelia (Tillie) and Emil Schmidt, step-father John Flaman and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She leaves to mourn her passing her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Ralph. Her brother Randy (Bernie) Schmidt, Qualicum Beach, BC; nephew Jason Schmidt, Calgary; niece Nicole (Jason) Peters, Calgary, aunts Jo Hague, Calgary and Margaret Fox, Regina. Several loving and caring cousins, Mary Ann, Liz, Anna, Pat, Loretta, Tony, Janet, Gail, Lynn, Jayne, Lois and Marjorie; as well her special friends and extended families, Joe and Olie Gattinger (50 years), Robert and Lillian Kish, Surrey, BC (60 years) and her life-long friend and extended Sister of 67 years, Ann Simpon and her husband Art. Dolores married Ralph on May 28, 1956 and fifteen months later resigned her position as a Private Secretary to become a homemaker. She excelled in both endeavours, loving to cook and bake, she was happiest when entertaining family and friends. Travel, dancing and live theatre were among the Dodds highest priorities and they did a great deal of all of them. A fourteen year (1980 - 1994) hiatus in Winnipeg proved gratifying - many friends were made, some of whom are still associated with to this day. When Ralph retired in 1994 they returned to their beloved Regina and have enjoyed being back home. Special thank you to Dr. M. J. Dickson for your caring and compassion for the past twelve years. Dr. W. Wojcik, Cardiologist extra ordinaire who kept our hearts in good shape. Dr. L. R. Dewar, Cardiothoracic Surgeon who gave Dolores a heart that never missed a beat in seven years.
