Obituary of Keith Earl Norman Tweed

Tweed - Keith Earl Norman. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Keith on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at the age of 90. Predeceased by his parents Earl and Nina and sister Arleen Perl. Keith is lovingly remembered and will be missed by his wife of 65 years, Gladys, his children, Arleen Dent, Norma (Ron) Benallack, Cheryl (Warren) Rowley, Judy (Bill) Burrell, Valerie (Gary) Hoffman, Gord (Teena) Tweed and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Keith was born on May 10, 1916, in Radisson, Saskatchewan. He spent his childhood in Senlac where he was a very good baseball player and curler. Keith worked for Beaver Lumber for over 40 years in St. Walburg, Shaunavon and Regina. Keith and Gladys eloped and were married in Provost, Alberta on May 23, 1941. Keith was a private with Provost Corp from 1943 to 1946 and served at Camp Borden in Ontario. Keith enjoyed most sports and took his greatest pleasure in friends and family. He especially enjoyed family celebrations. The Tweed family thank all of the health care professionals who helped out over the past few months. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina with Rev. Lois Knudson Munholland officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in memoriam, to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 917A Albert Street, Regina S4R 2P6.
