Obituary of Alexandra Dumycz

DUMYCZ, ALEXANDRA - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alexandra on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the age of 84. Alexandra grew up in the Ukraine and came to Canada after WWII to marry and raise a family in Regina. She was predeceased by her husband, Sam, and her daughter, Annie. She was a loving mother to Helen (Ron) and Roman (Janet) and will be cherished forever. She was a beloved grandmother to Richard (Angela), Vicky (Manuel), Julia, and Michael, and a proud great-grandmother to Teomi, Jayda, Kiana, and Ethan, who will all greatly miss her. Her large extended family included Beth (Sean), Morgan, Brendan, Kaytlin, Tony (Winnie), Dana, Jackie, and numerous nieces and nephews. Better known to many as "Baba, she had a great passion for gardening and cooking, and was always welcoming and generous to anyone in her home. She was devoted to her precious family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored. She enriched the lives of her family, as well as her many friends, and will be greatly missed, but loved and remembered always. Funeral Service will be held at St. Basils Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1757 Toronto Street, Regina, on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at 10:00 am. A luncheon in celebration of her life will be held immediately following.
