Obituary of Garfield John McMurchie

GARFIELD GAREY? McMURCHIE 1941 - 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and brother on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the age of 70. Garey was predeceased by his parents Dougal and Barbara McMurchie. He is survived by his loving wife Beverly McMurchie, daughter Sjaane McMurchie; son Ward McMurchie; brother George (Donna) McMurchie; aunt Patricia (Sterling) Hornoi; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Garey was raised in McLean Saskatchewan. He received his education in McLean and Regina at Balfour Technical Institute, before going on to obtain a degree in Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan. He spent most of his working career as a systems analyst in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the United States. Garey retired to Kendal, Saskatchewan. He was a family man, married to his wife for 44 years. Garey will be remembered for his determination, twinkling blue eyes, fun loving spirit, quiet but strong personality. His strength and determination saw him through a lengthy illness. He will be sadly missed.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memoriam to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Southern SK, 917 Albert Street, Regina, SK, S4R 2P6.
