Obituary of Charles Gordon McCudden

McCUDDEN -- Charles Gordon (Charlie). It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Charlie, who died on April 18, 2007. Predeceased by his mother, Hazel E. McCudden; father, Edward J. McCudden; father-in-law, George N. Rezansoff; and sister-in-law, Linda McCudden, Charlie will be lovingly remembered by his wife Donna; daughters Kathryn and Ali; brother, Gerald; sisters Joanne (Marty) Kaplan and Patricia; mother-in-law, Anne D. Rezansoff; sister-in-law Carol (Chuck) Knauft; brother-in-law, Daniel (Penny) Rezansoff; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. For over 20 years Charlie owned and operated a residential construction business, Decks Unlimited, and was known for his fine workmanship and good advice. Charlie had a very positive attitude and lived each day to the fullest. He had a broad range of interests including history, antiques, reading, hunting, fishing and golf and was an avid sports fan. Charlie loved to spend time at the cottage at Madge Lake where he was a formidable and highly competitive opponent at Monopoly and Scrabble. A loving father, Charlie took pride in his daughters achievements and whenever he could, he attended their various performances and sporting events. Charlie was a good friend to many and will be remembered for his good humored stories and jokes and his wonderful laugh. We would like to express our gratitude to Dr. H. Chal Chal of the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, Dr. A. Mcewan and staff of the Cross Cancer Center in Edmonton, Dr. L. Clein and the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit, as well as the Palliative Home Care team, Dr. Patrick Duffy, Dr. Kathy Ferguson, and Dan Cooper. We also thank family, friends, neighbors, colleagues and the employees of Decks Unlimited for their support and caring. In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlies memory may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina S4T 1A5 or Regina Palliative Care Inc., 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina S4T 1A5.
