Obituary of John Roman Zrymiak

ZRYMIAK, JOHN ROMAN - On Friday, April 20, 2007, surrounded by family, John passed away peacefully in his sleep at Pasqua Hospital at the age of 75. John is survived by his children ,Catherine, Peter (Tara), Tamara (Michael) Niles, Ramona (Patrick) Vigneron, Deanna (Andrew) Buzinsky, Daniel (Susan); his wonderful grandchildren; his brothers, Michael (Teresa), William, Nicholas (Mary), Jerry (Bernadette), Phillip (Anna); his sister Nettie (Bryon) Kost; his brothers-in-law, August (Rita) Hoffart, Tony Hoffart; his sisters-in-law, Rita Worth, Marcella Gerein, Lenora (Dan) Weber; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, god-children and friends. John was predeceased by his wife, Angela and his parents Peter and Mary (Spulnik) Zrymiak. John was born March 11, 1932 in Glenavon, SK. His life was centered on his faith, his family and his vocation. He was an educator all his life. He also distinguished himself in volunteer work in the field of education, Knights of Columbus, church organizations, Lions, CNIB and Air Cadets. He was an inspiration to all. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in St. Athanasius Byzantine Ukrainian Catholic Church, 55 McMurchy Avenue, Regina. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Athanasius Byzantine Ukrainian Catholic Church with Rt. Rev. Mitrat Leonard J. Romanow presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Rev. L. Romanow, Msgr. R. Luzney, Msgr. K. Miller, Dr. O. Rasmussen, Dr. I. Aboo, the staff on Unit 3B at the Pasqua Hospital, the staff at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre and all those who ever donated blood and plasma.
