Obituary of Lucita Jessie Crossley

CROSSLEY - Lucita Jessie (nee Taylor), born October 22, 1914, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 21, 2007. Lucita was predeceased by her husband Dean Oliver Crossley (D.O.C.) on April 3, 1985; her father John Taylor in 1965; her mother Georgina in 1964; and life long friend Carol Flegg in 2004. She is survived by Deans three granddaughters, Carol (Dave) Marshall, Moose Jaw, Susan (John) Sarasen, Regina and Grace Crossley, Nelson, BC, and three great grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren. Lucita is survived by friends and neighbours from the Crescent area where she lived for seventy-five years until health started to fail her and she moved to a personal care home four years ago. She always enjoyed when they had their block party on July 1st, as she could tell everyone on the block the history of their house. Lucita worked for her parents at Home Electric Bakery for most of her life except when she worked for the Ford Motor Company during the war years. The family would like to thank Diane and Alan Hind and all the caregivers for the excellent care she had received at Erimus Personal Care Home where Lucita had been a resident since July 2002. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina with Rev. Bob Gay officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.speersfuneralchapel.com
