Obituary of Danuta Janina Szala

SZALA " It is with sadness that we announce that Danuta Szala, age 58 years, loving mother and devoted daughter and sister passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on Wednesday, May 2, 2007. Predeceased by her father Mike Obrocki, Danuta is survived by her two sons, Frank and Steven Szala; her mother, Janina Obrocki; her aunt Teresa Rybakowicz; three sisters, Krystyna (Gary) Popp, Elizabeth (Ron) Shirkey, Teresa (Gary) Mulvihill; one brother, J. Andrzej (Dixie) Obrocki; her life-long friend, Carolyn Schaefer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Palliative Care Home Care Team. Prayers will be held on Friday, May 4, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthonys R. C. Church, 2275 Atkinson Street, Regina with Rev. Marian Ogorek SCh presiding. In lieu of flowers donations may be made, in memoriam, to Regina Palliative Care Inc., 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina S4T 1A5.
