Obituary of Clifford Wilfred Honan

HONAN, Clifford Wilfred passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2007 in Regina at the age of 93 years. Born on May 26, 1913, he was the eldest son of John A. Honan and Katherine (Schell) Honan, Bezugley. He received his education at Benson School and enjoyed sports, such as hockey and baseball. Cliff spent his early years in Benson, SK. He joined the army in 1942 and was stationed at Petawawa for four years. He moved to Regina in 1946 and worked as an orderly at the Regina General Hospital until his retirement in 1975. In 1954 he married the former Mary Gartner and they made their home in Regina where Cliff continued to live until 2007. Cliff is predeceased by his wife Mary; his father John; mother Katherine (Honan), Bezugley; step-father Michael Bezugley; infant brother Joseph; brother Vincent Honan; sister Lilian Honan; brother-in-law Albert Carriere; nephews Richard Luffman and Douglas Carrierre; nieces Carrie Luffman, and Norma Kuntz. Left to mourn Cliff are his sisters, Mary Freundl of Estevan, Gladys Carriere of Weyburn, Laura (Bill) Luffman of Regina; brothers Robert Bezugley of Estevan, Richard (Darlene) Bezugley of Regina, Raymond Bezugley of West Bank BC, Douglas (Inez) Bezugley of Saskatoon; and one special living aunt Mary (Schell) Ehrmantraut (102) Estevan Regional Nursing Home. Visitation will be prior to mass, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday May 09, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Samaritan R. C. Church, 425 Broad Street North with Rev. John-Baptist Okai presiding.
