Obituary of Frits Gerard Luberti

LUBERTI " Frits passed away peacefully, the morning of May 9, 2007. He will be sadly missed by his wife of almost 60 years, Bettie; his son Martyn; daughter Christina and grandson Illya; and other family in Holland. Frits was born in Amsterdam on May 14, 1922. He escaped from Holland with his best friend, Harry, in 1942, where they eventually made their way to England. He trained in England and Canada as a navigator with the RAF. In 1947 he married Bettie in London, England while attending the London School of Economics. In 1953 the family moved to Regina then in 1957 to Saskatoon so Frits could attend Law School from which he graduated in 1964. He served most of his career as a Prosecutor for the Province of Saskatchewan. He will be remembered for his intelligence, humor, story telling and love of music. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.speersfuneralchapel.com
