Obituary of Geraldine (Gerry) Ann Martin

MARTIN, Geraldine (Gerry) Ann It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Geraldine on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at the age of 60. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side. Predeceased by her mother Annie, Gerry leaves to cherish her memory, her father, Ernest Martin; one brother, Gordon (Evangeline) Martin; three sisters, Lillian of Saskatoon, Bernice (Dorian) Hassard and Sharon Martin, both of Regina; two nieces; one nephew; one great-nephew; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Born in Regina on September 27, 1946, Gerry resided in Regina all her life. She enjoyed various sports " watching hockey and football; playing city league fastball during her early 20s and since retirement, participating in league curling at the Highland Curling Club. Gerry also enjoyed traveling and shopping. Gerry worked various jobs before being employed at SaskTel. She worked at SaskTel for thirty years (April 4, 1967 to September 30, 1997) until her early retirement. Her family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Dr. L. Clein, Dr. W. Lok and the nursing staff at Pasqua Hospital, Unit 4A, as well as the Palliative Care Nurses and Home Care Nurses. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 25, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. in Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Avenue, Regina with Pastor Bob Leeson officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
